Hi Teable Team,
I’ve been actively exploring Teable.ai and really appreciate the strong foundation you’ve built as an open-source, Airtable-like platform.
However, while using it for real-world workflows (especially marketing, SEO, and automation use cases), I noticed several critical capability gaps that, if addressed, could position Teable as a true next-generation AI-powered workspace — not just a database tool.
Below is a structured list of feature requests based on practical usage scenarios.
1. AI Agents & Autonomous Execution (Critical Gap)
Ability to create AI agents that:
Execute workflows automatically
Take actions based on triggers
Perform multi-step reasoning
Examples:
“SEO Agent” → keyword → blog → optimization
“Marketing Agent” → campaign → content → tracking
Currently missing entirely
2. AI App / Workflow Builder (Prompt → System)
Convert prompts into:
Internal tools (CRM, dashboards, pipelines)
Automated workflows
Example:
- “Build a content marketing system” → auto-create tables, automations, views
Missing “prompt-to-system” capability
3. Advanced AI Content Generation Layer
Long-form content generation:
Blogs
Landing pages
Emails
Ad copy
Structured content generation:
- Headings, SEO optimization, readability
Content repurposing:
- Blog → social posts → email → ads
Current AI capabilities are too basic
4. SEO Workflow & Intelligence Layer
Keyword clustering & intent mapping
SERP analysis integration
Auto content generation from keywords
Internal linking suggestions
SEO scoring & optimization
Teable currently supports only storage, not execution
5. Presentation & Output Generation
AI-powered presentation generator:
Notes → slides
Data → reports
Content → decks
Export formats:
- PPT, PDF, shareable decks
Missing storytelling/output layer
6. Knowledge Base + Docs Layer
Native docs system:
SOPs
Notes
Wikis
Link docs with database records
Needed for full workspace experience
7. Advanced Task & Execution System
Task dependencies
Subtasks & hierarchies
Sprint/project management
Team workload tracking
Current system is data-centric, not execution-centric
8. Smart Automation (AI-Driven)
Context-aware automation:
- “When keyword added → generate blog → assign writer”
Multi-step workflows with AI decisions
Current automation is rule-based only
9. Real-Time Collaboration Enhancements
Live editing (Notion/Taskade-like)
Comments, mentions, discussions
AI-assisted collaboration
Collaboration feels limited compared to modern tools
10. Multi-Model AI Support
Integration with:
OpenAI
Claude
Gemini
Allow users to choose models per workflow
Currently lacks flexibility
11. App Ecosystem & Integrations
Native integrations with:
Google Analytics
Search Console
Slack
Zapier
Plugin/extension marketplace
Needed for scalability
12. End-to-End Marketing Workflow Support
Persona creation
Target audience mapping
Funnel tracking
Campaign management
Currently requires multiple external tools
13. Content Pipeline Management
Content calendar
Draft → review → publish workflows
Multi-channel publishing
Missing structured pipeline execution
14. AI Data Insights & Recommendations
Insights from data:
“Which content performs best?”
“What to create next?”
Missing intelligence layer on top of data
15. UI/UX Enhancements for Productivity
Unified workspace (docs + tasks + data)
Better navigation for complex workflows
Visual workflow builders
16. Offline & Multi-Platform Support
Desktop apps
Mobile apps
Offline capabilities
Summary
Teable has a strong foundation as a database-first platform.
However, to compete with emerging AI-native tools, it needs to evolve into:
“Data + AI + Execution + Output” platform
Rather than just:
“Data + Automation”
I would be happy to provide deeper use-case walkthroughs or collaborate on feature prioritization if helpful.
Looking forward to future updates
I completely agree with Amit. Wrapping the table experience as part of a larger collaboration space is a differentiator. MS Teams tries to do with the Lists, but the UI is awkward. Teams evolved from SharePoint, which evolved from a now defunct collaboration app called eRoom, which was ahead of its time and did this very thing. It was created for collaboration from the ground up and included tables as part of it (although the most-used and most powerful part). It’s Fortune 1000 adoption was fueled by its ease of use. You have a strong basis for this.
Hi @Amit_Sharma @BillGermino , I’d like to know whether you’re using our Community Edition. Please try our Cloud version, since most of the features you mentioned are already available there. Because we follow an open-core model, the AI features are not included in the Community Edition.
We look forward to hearing your feedback.
Completely agree with Amit
I am using cloud version only , for example: whenever i ask it to generate the presentation it gives me the html format file even when asked to give the output file in .pptx format, time wasted and the credits also got consumed.
@Amit_Sharma Thank you for sharing this specific use case. We’ve acknowledged the issue and added it to our backlog. We’ll work on supporting AI-generated output artifacts, such as downloadable files.
You should also have received an email about it. Going forward, you’ll be notified of any progress on this issue.
Hi @Gary , Thank you for acknowledging the presentation/slide-creation feature and for enabling downloads in their native file formats. In addition, my original post outlined several workflow, automation, prebuilt agents, Community apps, and integration-related items. If you could consider including these in upcoming updates, it would add meaningful value for all Teable users. For features and how to execute the here is example from taskade homepage to simplify things :
Hi @Amit_Sharma Thanks for your feedback. We’ll take it into consideration.
You mentioned quite a few needs at the beginning of your post, and in fact, many of them can already be addressed with Teable. It may be that we have not done a good enough job communicating these capabilities to the market, although it is true that some of them are not supported yet.
We’ve also been rolling out a series of new features quite frequently. Later today, we’re releasing a major update to our chat agent engine. It will significantly improve the agent’s ability to handle more complex tasks while greatly reducing credit consumption. Please check our changelog or newsletter later for the full details and updates.
I had looked into Taskade before, but I did not realize they had kept evolving. From what I can see, it looks like they have shifted from being more of a project management tool to more of an app builder.
I’d be curious to hear whether you are still using it, or whether you are planning to migrate from Taskade to Teable. What is it about Teable that attracted you? And what kind of use case or workflow are you using it for?
Hi Gary,
Thank you for considering my feedback and for the upcoming updates. I wanted to clarify that my initial message included workflows I’ve tested and integrated, not just as a wishlist. When I mentioned Taskade, it wasn’t just for its features but for how they’ve structured their platform to make everything easily accessible and clear. Their homepage categorization allows users to explore and use the platform intuitively, encouraging them to stay engaged and ultimately helping Taskade retain users and grow sustainably.
I understand that Teable is in its early stages, and as an early supporter, I believe it’s vital to share insights from using other tools to aid in Teable’s growth. It’s more about being part of the journey than just an observer. Teable is fun and easy to use, with easy to use ai to build the tasks that drive more output.
I’d love to share specific day-to-day use cases from marketing, project management, and sales with you via email. Additionally, I’ve noticed that your emails are landing in my spam box. This might be something worth checking on your end since emails from other tools reach my inbox without issues.
Best regards.
